Stamp of the Day: Norsk fisk

Just to show you that Norwegians can have real names on their animals too :)

Here is a makrell (mackerel). If you know anything about these fishes, inform us in the comments, please.

I know you can fish them in Bohuslän in Sweden in the summer, about the same time as there is "mareld" in the water. You fish them with a långrev, a fishline with several hooks. I have done it a long time ago and the mareld was only a little but still. When the water is stirred tiny microorganism glow in green in the water. And the fish is good to eat...especially grilled or smoked. Namnam
