Modesty?

Today I read a news snippet that illustrates what was discussed here about the, supposedly, scandinavian attitude towards modesty, "lagom" and the "Jante law":

Dolby laboratories buys the (small) Stockholm company Coding Technologies for a sum of 1.6 billion SEK. The company's founder Lars Liljeryd comments: "Now I can repaint my boat and I don't have to take the bus to work."

I bet he means that now he can take his repainted boat to work. Or he doesn't have to go to work at all :)

Yes, inside a large helicopter. :)

There are numerous stories about people encountering Ingvar Kamprad (of IKEA) on the local bus, or buying his trousers on a big sale etc.
