Drip, drip

Fjällig bläcksvamp (Coprinus comatus)

Strange mushroom. When it grows and unfolds its cap, it begins to melt into a black oily smear. After a couple of days there's almost nothing left of it but the stem and a black stain below it.

/O.K.

And before it starts dripping it is a delicacy - unless you have a glass of wine with dinner. Alcohol and this mushroom is a deadly combination, so it got reclassified in all Swedish mushroom fieldguides from "delicious" to "toxic".

Great photo!

Dear Mr/Mrs Anonymous,
Thanks for your contribution. However, relevant links are preferred. Please consider this in the future. In the meantime please enjoy some mushrooms with a nice glass of wine.

I _think_ this is true for Grå bläcksvamp (Coprinus atramentarius), but not this one. Don't eat it based on this information though.

Well, it is our first spam after all. Amazing considering it's been 6 months since the first post.

"Spam, spam, spam, mushrooms and spam doesn't have so much spam in it!"

Hehe, O.K.'s link to the other mushroom species gives a 404 error message... maybe he did that on purpose after the 404 post a few days ago.

I can't believe that people sit and handspam blogs. Either they have too much time on their hands or they are desperate. Or both. I loved your reply to the spamblogger, O.K.!

Maybe that site died because of all the mushrooms it had?

I just screwed up the linking, try Grå bläcksvamp and Fjällig bläcksvamp.

Well, maybe it was little bit harsh but the links had nothing in common with ANY topic on this blog.
