New Series: Overheard at Work

Guy looking for a plastic fork for lunch, can't find one. I comment that there are no knives either. He says: "Just walk around and look at people's backs, you'll find knives."

Hahaha! "Et tu, Brute?"

But where's the forks? Maybe the shoplifters specializing in cutlery have been there, i.e. the forklift(er)s...

And the spoons? The spoonbilled ducks are getting those?

As the say in "The Matrix": There is no spoon.

O.K., I saw the first 2/3rds of the Matrix, then I feel asleep. Can you explain the spoon thing from that movie?

When Neo visits the oracle for the first time he meets a boy who is bending spoons by looking at them.
But since they are in the matrix, the big world simulation, there are no real spoons to bend, only virtual ones.

Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Spoon boy: There is no spoon.
Neo: There is no spoon?
Spoon boy: Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.
