From the James Dean movie "Rebel without a Cause"
The scene is where Dean(Jim) and Buzz are about to get into old cars, race to the edge of a cliff and whoever jumps out of the car closest to the edge of the cliff wins.
Buzz: This is the edge. That's the end.
Jim: Yeah. It certainly is.
Buzz: You know something? I like you. You know that?
Jim: Why do we do this?
Buzz: You got to do something, now don't you?
So like a lot of odd pastimes, ya gotta do something!
"Don't push me, cause I'm close to the edge" - Grandmaster Flash (Stormäster Fläsk)
This reminds me of Maurice being rescued by Ed on the roof, from falling over the edge...
maybe it is better to be a slimy snail, you can't fall off the edge?
