Emptying the fridge

When I go to UK for a couple of weeks I need to finish all the remaining fresh food and get it out of the fridge. The last meal is then sometimes a bit odd. But this time it was all vegetables which I simply steamed (the sugar peas a bit too long) and then made a sauce on the vegetable cooking liquid. It turned out to be both colourful and very tasty.

I am glad I don't need to do that at the moment. Habaneros, blueberry jam, salmon...

Have you never heard of fusion nouveau cooking, O.K.? Sounds like you have a great beginning to "habanero-soaked salmon on a bed of blueberry jam".
