Welcome to this bilingual (Swedish-English) group blog by family members living on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, "the pond". Our interests range from the scientific to the eclectic, including gourmet food, horses, art and literature, computers, species in nature, history and iron, and photography. Three generations are posting here.
In honor of Borscht, Russians, and betalain-red plants. Need I say any more? Oh, there is some goat cheese and chives on the Swedish stamp too. Welcome to the world of food.

Beets, goat cheese and chives? Cook a meal out of that! Hmm, when I think about it, it really could work well...
Reminds me of a tv-show called "Here's your fridge" where a journalist and a chef visited a chosen celebrity, and the chef would cook a meal for the three of them out of whatever there was in the fridge. One of the celebrities (Dr Alban) had one (1!) apple...
Could they use what was in the pantry too? Like sugar and flour? Then you can make apple pie.
Yes, he could. In this case there also was sugar and cinnamon, no flour as I remember it. Not much food for three persons...
