If a moose eats asparagus...

... does the pee smell funny?

It does in humans, but only some people can smell it. There is evidence supporting that both the odor of asparagus urine and the ability to smell it are genetically controlled. I know I am one of those that can smell it. Isn't science great sometimes!? Giving us answers to both important and unimportant questions.

While at the Franklin Inst we worked on a sense of smell exhibit. We had little vials of various smells and everyone took a whiff of them. It was amazing...some people had huge reactions to some of them, both good and bad, then others had exactly the opposite. There was,of course a difference between male and female but it was not 100%. There was one that many people thought was the worst smell ever and I could not detect any smell at all. How does this help us as humans?

Ok, now we only need a scientific explanation of were all the odd socks go. Wormholes in the washing machine?

Is there really scientific evidence that socks actually disappears? Before the explanation you need to have the evidence that the thing actually occurs.

Yes but if you watch it you change the outcome.

Sock-watching? Now there is a new sport!
