Mail from friends

I have noticed that most mail today is bills and advertising. I miss the time when I had long nice handwritten letters to come home to after school/work. I know, the internet is fast and so, but I sometimes feel it´s to fast. Maybe the same way PP feel about fast travel? Rather train than plane, an a nice letter in my new mailbox from time to time....

To illustrate this I´ve chosen two matchbox labels.

My aunt sends me great letters now and then, and then I feel guilty because I don't write back so often. But I love to get letters too, and write them as well, it is just hard to take the time. The time is there, it is just filled with other things like gardening, cooking, interneting, knitting, movie-watching, home-working, office-working, lab-working, partying, sleeping, cleaning, bird-watching... I think you just have to decide to do it, and then start writing. Our lives are faster, but there was this study in Sweden that showed that Swedes never before had had so much free time as today. I don't know how it is here in the US compared to decades before, but I think people spend more time commuting than before and they don't have more vacation time, so maybe it is about the same.
