Ketchup no 2

I couldn't find a stamp with ketchup, but I found this Del Monte ketchup ad from 1953 instead. Maybe typical of the times, but today this ad would never be used... I have a horrible time opening jars and bottles with my hands, but I find this ad funny and offensive at the same time. These days there should be an ad of those blister packs of pills and the text should say: "You mean a human could open this?"

I am crasy over all things I have to open. Medicin, things in plasticboxes and piclesglas and so on. My fingers were strong earlier, they are weak now.

I know, there should be easy-open, child-proof things. The Prilosec pill packages are horrible!

That is probably the most sexist thing I have ever seen

Yes, very sexist. It would not go over well today in a magazine, people would be very upset.

I´m thinking we can use this approach toward the rubber thingy that encloses the lights on our car. After a looong time and some swear words I went too the car shop and asked how to get it off! That was after my second try, JH had one in between my two.

" So you mean a woman can open it?!"

He took a screwdriver and forced loose it by the way! We hadn´t tried that.

Ah, you mean the rubber thing you have to remove to change the light bulb? Ha, I saw the mechanics swear over that one on my car when they had to change the bulb. I couldn't do it. Woman proof, maybe? Just another thing that is hard to open and of bad design.

Yep, that´s the one LS. I had to change, I tried to ignoring it but the problem didn´t go away, so I had to change the bulbs on both sides. Actually I think it´s made for women hands only, it was a tight fit. But now, after changning I will happily sell the car. There are much worse thing with that car than missing lights, like rusty breaks and so, but the police wont see those problems... or the buyer...
