Welcome to this bilingual (Swedish-English) group blog by family members living on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, "the pond". Our interests range from the scientific to the eclectic, including gourmet food, horses, art and literature, computers, species in nature, history and iron, and photography. Three generations are posting here.
Yoda, lion, and crocodile attack. Photos by unknown.
Found on the internet, of course...
Kids are carving pumpkins now, and you'll see the result soon!

When we get back, remind us to tell you the story about the previous tenant's dog and a weekend visit to the crocodile farm that ended quite predictably.
That is to say badly.
I will. I want to hear the ending, even if I expect what it will be.
have a very similar story, but not at a zoo...friend that grew up in FL. they had a lot of gators on their property. They had signs posted to not stop and look , get out of the cars, photograph, etc...Some woman in a caddy stopped her little stupid small dog got out and was eaten whole in about 10 seconds.
A friend of mine grew up in Alaska, and his grandmothers dog was taken by a bald-headed eagle from the backyard while they were watching. I think it was a poodle, and it barked all the way up to heaven.
I don't think little dogs have a very high evolutionary fitness.
