On Friday, PP and I celebrated our 5-year wedding anniversary with a fantastic lunch at a local, wonderful restaurant, Brothers Moon in Hopewell, NJ. Here are some photos for you to salivate over. If you are in the area, this is a restaurant you should get to, the ambience, food, and service is outstanding. They use many local and organic ingredients. Thanks everybody at Brothers Moon for a wonderful anniversary lunch!
Heart of romaine and NYC Prosciutto with
Cherry Grove Asiago croutons, pickled shallot and red pepper vinaigrette. Those shallots! Simple things can be the best things.
Asparagus and leek puree soup, white beans, smoked salmon and chive. Fantastic soup, not at all full of cream, but full of flavor from the asparagus and salmon.
Sautéed shrimp, pea raviolis, white beans, alfalfa sprouts, balsamic reduction. The pea raviolis was incredible!
Roasted
Griggstown Farm young chicken, goat cheese and herb risotto with fennel seed accented carrot. The risotto had a very unusual, but great flavor from the goat cheese.
Espresso, with some foamed milk borrowed from LS's cappucino.
Creme brulee with fresh berries. Check out the plate decorated with melted chocolate! I love creme brulee, it is my favorite dessert together with strawberry-rhubarb pie.
I think this was limoncello mousse, but I don't exactly remember.
Last night we had a party for our friends, but unfortunately the rainy weather forced us to be inside. But the food and company didn't suffer, only our driveway that got partly washed away in the rain storm.

Congratulations! and what a lunch - looks and sounds absolutely wonderful. But enough food for a week...
Well, we didn't have a 6 course meal - we ordered one appetizer and entree each and then shared our plates. It was fantastic food and actually not too much food.
