Stamp of the Day: Impossible drawing
Images like this has always fascinated me. Who came up with this idea? When you look at the final drawing it seems so simple, but I don't think I could have made it.
Ehrenswärd certainly knew about Escher's work when he did his impossible things. Of course, this does not make them any less interesting! Ehrenswärds impossible things are simpler and very striking.

They were doing similar stuff at just about the exact same time...I wonder if they knew each other.
I was actually thinking about Escher when I put this stamp on the blog. There is a lot of similarities.
