It was nice but a cold day and the little snow that fell this night never disappeared. Brisk, bitingly cold northerly winds.

Autumn horses

Hej Olle,
ReplyDeleteI added some labels to your post. Great photos. I love those yellow maple leaves. We have the same species here in the US, where it is called Norwegian maple and it is introduced. But it is taken over in our forests and outcompeting native trees, so they are trying to get rid of it. The native maples such as sugar maple and red maple are red in the fall, not yellow.
Great horses! You can really tell how low the sun is on the horizon too. Is the bird lake called Vallentunasjon? I think I have been there once, and I got terrible ant bites on my knee, with an allergic reaction afterwards. Big and red bites and fever. But great bird watching!
No, it is 'Angarnsjöängen' or just 'Angarn'
ReplyDeleteI had a walk today too. Nippy, but nice. About tasty boots, don't knock it unless you tried it. ;)
ReplyDeleteHas anyone else seen the short film "Werner Herzog eats his shoe" where the german director does just that after losing a bet?
Yes I have seen it!
ReplyDeleteI really like the scene where he stuffs the shoe with onions and other vegetables before it goes into the pot, and discusses the importance of cooking it well. :)
ReplyDeleteCharlie Chaplin had to eat his shoe too!
ReplyDeleteYes, Angarn! I have been there too.
ReplyDeleteYes, but that was made out of liquorice. I'm not sure it is very healthy to eat a leather shoe regarding how heavily processed the leather is. Even if it is stuffed with vegetables.
ReplyDeleteHej Olle vilken underbar hästbild. Jag för lust att göra en målning med dessa hästar som underlag.
