Funky mushrooms
And no, not psychedelic ones, but glow-in-the-dark ones have just been discovered. Now why would they have evolved this? To light the way for spore-spreading little rainforest flies? Who knows.
Amazing! But don´t you think they have a fluorescent substance just "by accident"? It might be useful in some other way too.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what would happen if I took a UV-light out in the wood in the evening....maybe there´s more discoveries to be made!
