On the same site it claims that it was worse to use one than to be without, the helmet were so heavy that you could break the neck in a car crash. Not much protection.
Of course it was for safety. We used them everytime travelling until we heard that it was more dangerous to use them than without. In this time there were no childrenchairs so LS was in a big box of wood in which she could stand up and sleep down. I am happy that we didn´t crash with the car.
Oh, memories! I think Mom and Dad's were more black and white, but that is how they looked like otherwise!
