Signs: Function
Function: The action for which a person or thing is specially fitted or used or for which a thing exists.
"Changed function of the door."
I think it should be "Changed function on the door", right?

I have a suspicion that this sign was on a Swedish post office or government office.
Close, the sign is on the entrance to a train station. What it says depends on interpretation, I guess. :)
