Today's Baldwin Railroad stamp is bogus, not the real thing. Apparently there were stamp forgeries already back then, but after all this is a train stamp, so it is allowed to be stamp of the day on this blog. Not sure what the locomotive is, but looks ancient.
Was it really worth all the trouble to make forgeries for two pence each?
