Sol, snö och minusgrader or Sun, snow and below zero
Finally a winterday, after weeks of wet, cold, ugly weather! It makes me long for the winter mountains and my skies.
Ah, this photo reminds me so much of family winter ski vacations in Storulvån when I was a teenager. This is certainly not a photo out of your kitchen window, EH! :) Look at that gnarly birch on the mountain slope, so pretty, lonely, and cold. But it survives year after year through winter storms.
No snow here in New Jersey, just freezing temperatures at night. We have started to burn wood in our furnace and it works really well. Soon it is Thanksgiving, then Christmas, and then new year, and then spring. But I am looking forward to real winter, with snow, candles and good warming food.
